How it works

1

Jump into a session

Match publicly or share a private group via code. Drop in, drop out – join whenever you like.

2

10 rounds, 10 mini-games

A different game each round, driven by the same random seed for everyone – identical conditions. Highest score wins the round.

3

Talking encouraged

Mics are open by default. Trash talk, cheering, laughing – the game lives on your voice.

4

Rating goes up (or down)

Your Elo is what counts in the end. Public sessions are ranked; private groups keep their own leaderboard.

The mini-games

15 short skill and brain games – each explained in seconds, none longer than a few breaths:

⚡ Tap Storm 🎯 Reflex Duel 🎨 Color Hunt 📏 Precision ⏱️ Time Sense ➗ Quick Math 🌈 Color Trap ✋ Flash Catch 💣 Fuse 🧠 Memory Flash 👉 Swipe Hunt 🔮 Ball Spy ✂️ Rock-Paper-Scissors 🔢 Number Whirl 👁️ Eye Gauge

Coins, fairness & ads

ELO Rumble is free. Good placements, daily chests and streaks earn you coins to unlock cosmetics (name frames, titles) or ad-free rounds for your whole group.

To keep the game free, it is funded by ads – a short spot between rounds, or an optional video you watch for a reward. Ads never interrupt live gameplay, and you can buy single rounds or entire sessions ad-free.

Skill decides, not your wallet: coins and purchases only change cosmetics and ad-freeness, never your rating or the outcome of a round.

FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Just enter a name and go. Your profile (name, rating, coins) is tied to your device – no sign-up, no email.

Is it free?

Yes, entirely. The game is funded by ads; optional coin purchases and ad-free sessions are completely voluntary.

How does voice chat work?

Directly between players (peer-to-peer via WebRTC), transmitted encrypted. If a direct connection fails, a relay server bridges it. You can mute yourself at any time.

What devices does it run on?

Any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop. You can also add ELO Rumble to your home screen as an app.

What is an Elo rating?

A number that reflects your skill. Beat stronger players and it rises sharply; lose to weaker ones and it drops. Over time this matches you with fitting opponents.

We tied – so why did my rating still change?

That's not a bug. The Elo system works with expectations: the higher-rated player is expected to do better than a draw. So tying with someone rated below you costs a few points, while tying with someone rated above you earns some. Only when ratings are (almost) equal does a draw change nothing. In rounds with several players, every pairing is scored separately on top of that – you can tie with one player and still go up or down because of the other match-ups.
